...let the rain fall down...

Movie day! It was nice listening to the rain outside today. I love the sound of rain. It is beautiful, and although it makes you want to run outside and twirl around, i found today to be the perfect day to catch up on some old movies. I enjoyed getting a good laugh watching "Just Married" and "Clueless." Also, watched one of my faves..."Chocolat." Two of my favorite things...romance & chocolate.

EnD 11.26.08

Our story is very interesting...
In 2001 I moved to FL from NC to go to college. Later on that year, Eugene and I got introduced by his brother Billy.
I went back to NC for the year 2002 and came back to FL in 2003...the year that I found my better half without even realizing it.
During these years Euge and I began to talk and hang out more. We became the best of friends.
Our relationship continued to grow and in 2006 he asked me to be his girl. It was a great year for me, graduating with my degree and becoming one step closer to my fairy tale. <3
In August 24, 2008, Euge & I were driving to Naples, FL to meet our niece Mia for the first time. In our way there, Euge took a different road. I noticed it but he said that we always take this road. I didn't make a big deal of it since I'm not too good with directions. I get lost easily =P lol
Then, we stopped, and to my surprise we were entering Bok Sanctuary-Bok Tower Gardens. http://www.boktowergardens.org/
I had not idea what was going on but I like spontaneity. This was our 3rd time in this beautiful site. We walked around the Garden holding hands and when we found a nice spot we sat down. The view was beautiful!
Euge more than ready. He had everything in his backpack, mats, food and dessert!!! He had planned a picnic for us! The dessert was the best part. After we ate, he took out a little white box, leaned towards me and whispered in my ear "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"... I took the box and opened it, inside there was another white box with a beautiful ring.
Omg!! i was so shocked (in a good way), that I couldn't say anything. After few minutes he said, "So, what do you say?" and I replied, "Thank you!"
I was sooooo embarrassed after I realized what I had said. He finally said..."Is that a yes or no?" I said YES! of course I will!......Haha, it sounds funny now, but not back then. He was so nervous and I was not making it easier. lol =P
I will never forget this day. It was the beginning of a wonderful engagement, wich led to the fun and crazy wedding planning process. <3>
Our initial wedding plan was to get married in Asheville, NC. However, this changed and so the date. At first, I was a little disappointed because that was like a dream for me, but God had something better planned for us. We decided to get married in Orlando, Florida.
I had 4 months to plan everything, by myself. During these months I thought I couldn't do it, but every little piece was falling into place. Thank God!
Our families and friends were very helpful and it made the process less stressful. Thank you!
Finally, the big day came. Our day was extremely special! Not only because I was marrying my best friend but we were accompanied by the most important people in our lives, our relatives and friends. In 11.26.2008 we said our I do's and became Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Miranda. I love my name Daisy Grisel Miranda..so fashion! =D
This day was more than we had ever ex
pected. It was more than a dream come true!
My fairy-tale came true! I found my prince and now we will be together until the EnD <3
